From March 3rd-5th, Kate Swanson (DC ’19) traveled to Colorado Springs for the 2017 United States Women’s National Team open tryouts. Swanson, along with two other Elis, competed for a spot on the U.S. women’s national team and collegiate national team in the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Swanson was fourth in the Ivy League last season. She also received All-Ivy honors. The three days of vigorous competition served not only as an opportunity for Swanson to join the collegiate national team, but also as an invaluable training experience with the best volleyball talent around the country.
