The Men’s Lightweight crew team successfully began their spring season by snatching the Johnson Cup from the Naval Academy (The Naval Academy! Those guys love water) at Lake Carnegie in New York on April 1st. Back in New Haven on April 8th, the Elis beat out Georgetown and MIT, sweeping the entire podium in varsity. Noah Baily ’17, captain and gnomie, attributed the victory to the reliability and drive of his teammates. This Saturday the Bulldogs face off against Columbia and Penn for the Dodge Cup here at home, kicking off three intense weekends of regattas until the league championship, Eastern Sprints in Worchester, Massachusetts. Make sure to wish these gnomies luck before their regattas!
