Rose Taylor ’18: One High-Flying Gnomie!

Posts! / Tuesday: A Gnotable Gnomie!

Hi all! I’m Rose, a senior in Davenport. In the past, I spent 4 semesters organizing the committee to choose Davenport’s College Seminar. Now, I help coordinate the Mellon Forums for Davenport alongside previous Notable Gnomie Lilla Brody and noted olive oil enthusiast George Gemelas. You can also find me consuming cheesy foods and/or watching sporting events in the Dive. Elsewhere on campus, I attend occasional debates at the Yale Political Union and study Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry.

My perennial fun fact is that I’m in the circus—I worked for a circus school in St. Louis for a year before Yale. I also spent this past summer researching circuses in North America and Europe through the Davenport Class of 1956 Fellowship. (It turns out that circuses are a thing you can research!) At Yale, I helped found the Yale Aerial and Circus Arts Collective (see photo) and I juggle with the Yale Anti-Gravity Society!
