Last Friday night, Yale defeated Cornell 34-7. The offensive line has been very aggressive this season. Their determination has contributed greatly to the Bulldogs this season. This Saturday, the Bulldogs play Princeton at 1 pm. Yale is in 1st place in the Ivy League. Should be an exciting Harvard-Yale game on November, 18th! The Bulldogs won their opening game of the season against RIT. However, the Bulldogs tied and lost to Rensselear and Union respectively this past weekend. The team remains optimistic and look at these games as learning opportunities to prepare them for the rest of the season ahead. Congrats to the Yale Volleyball team for their successful season thus far. The Volleyball team is poised to reclaim the Ivy League trophy. The three seniors on the team, including Davenport senior Megan Rasmussen, claimed the Ivy League title during their first-year (2014) season, and have worked hard this season to motivate their team for another Ivy League victory. Congrats to the Yale Football team for defeating Cornell this past Saturday after their victory over Lehigh on September 16th! The Bulldogs defeated the Big Red in their home opener, 49-24. This past weekend, Yale Women’s Field Hockey defeated Central Michigan University (3-2-0, 0-0-0 All American). This year’s captain, Kiwi Comiozo ’18, is confident in this year’s team, and believes it looks the best out of her four past years. The Yale Men’s Lacrosse team fought off the Brown Bears last Saturday in Reese Stadium. The Elis were able to beat out Brown, with a score of 18-12. The Men’s Lightweight crew team successfully began their spring season by snatching the Johnson Cup from the Naval Academy (The Naval Academy! Those guys love water) at Lake Carnegie in New York on April 1st. The women’s crew team trounces Cornell, with all five boats finishing ahead of the competition. The team also was able to capture the Cayuga Cup, marking a five year streak of excellence.
